Hello! How are you today?
Yesterday I was doing my skincare with a new mask that my friend Narya gave me so I decided to finish this post about my skincare that I started some time ago XD (this is so old that I'm still wearing my xmas nails in pictures wwww)
My skin isn't in great shape due to acne from my teenager years and smoking but with this skincare it feels less "greasy" and more clean, also I noticed that I get no more breakouts so I thought it could be useful to share my routine!
My skin is dry & sensitive type so keep this in mind as some products may be not good for you if you have other skin types.
So let's move onto the routine !
So first step is obviously cleansing the skin! If I have makeup on I use this Garnier makeup remover, which I really like cuz it's delicate and its consistency is more similar to a soap than to other makeup removers, so it's really easy and fast to use (I just wash my face, lather up with this makeup remover and wash it away with warm water) even in the shower!
If I didn't wear makeup I'll just skip this step
Next is washing again my face to remove last makeup residues with this face cleanser from Youth to the People which I got recommanded at Sephora, and I have to say it's so good!! It's perfect for my skin and it leaves it smooth and nice after it
Next step is scrub! Actually I do this just once a week cuz I heard it's bad for your skin to use scrub often, so I choose delicate products and do this the less possible This one is a bio scrub with rose hip extract, so it's also a treatment for acne
I really like its smell :D
Next is my favorite step, face masks!
Usually I prefer to use Geomar or Garnier SkinActive tissue masks (hydrating or firming ones, lately I'm love with the ones in picture) but I really like to change and try new ones out, it's like my favorite moment of the day XD
I just put them on and leave them for about 25 minutes at least, then I massage the serum residues on my face with circular movements (I heard this kind of massage improves blood circulation)
I love those type of masks also cuz when you use the masks a lot of serum remains in the package, so I can apply it during the week :D extra serum, yay! XD
This is the new one I've tried :D On Xmas I got this Fresh face mask sample from Narya, it's a black tea mask which should have an instant "firming" effect on the skin, but even if I love Fresh products (it's one of my fav brands along with Pixi) this one really wasn't good for me :/ it's too thick and buttery for my skin, it felt good after it but I didn't feel "refreshed" like the usual, it was smooth but it felt more oily than it should be I prefer their rose hip mask :/
Next step is facial tonic! My second favorite step XD I really like to use Vitamin C/citrus tonics cuz I feel like they "disinfect" my skin from acne and breakouts, so this one from Pixi is my fav atm!
It smells a bit like orange, but it's a reeeeeally light smell so even if you're sensitive to citrus smells like me it won't be a problem
I feel like new after this tonic, I really love it ;u;
We're almost done, so here's the next step, serum! I got this one from The Ordinary that was recommended by friends :D
It's really dense but you only need a drop of it! The skin feels so elastic after it *0* I want to try all their serums!!! I tried a lot of other serums, but rn this is my fav along with the Shiseido Power Infusing Concentrate (which I want to buy again but it's so expensive x_x while this one costs only 6/7€)
And finally the last step XD Face cream! I have 2 face creams, one for night (the black one) and one for day (the white one). As night cream I always choose creams that are more thick and nourishing, lately I've got this one from Lumita: it's based on snail slime (if it's the correct word w) and it promises to have a firming and scars/stains healing function; I can't really speak about the firming function (I don't really feel my skin more firm ^^") but it healed some skin stains that I had near my lips (I have really sensitive skin, I get deep burns even with face wax, so my natural skin sadly has a lot of stains and scars). It was 31,90€ on Amazon, a bit expensive which is the other reason I want to try a new one XD
As a day cream I prefer a more light, hydrating one, so I've tried this one Avenil, it's based on oat milk and I have to say I really liked it! It's more like a gel and it's so light that it's super fast to absorb!! But the only issue is that the hydration doesn't last long, even if it says "24hours hydration"; if I don't wear makeup I like to reapply it during the day, I just love the refreshing feeling it leaves
It costs about 1,5/3€ (which is really cheap) but I'd like something more lasting :/
That's all for my skincare :D
This was long but actually it's a easy routine! I think
it takes me less than a hour to do it (if you think that I leave on the
face masks for at least 25 minutes) but it's okay to me since I always
do it after shower before going to bed!
I
really recommend to do your skincare like that too, cuz warm shower
opens up your pores - so you can clean your face better - and going to
bed after it with a clean pillowcase keeps your skin from getting
"dirty" again right after (pro tip: if you suffer from acne
change your face towels and pillowcases everyday, even more times in the
day if you take naps! You'll see it improve so FAST)
I also bought new haircare products yesterday, this heat protection spray and two repair masks from Vitalcare I already tried the spray and the black mask, my hair feels more soft now (gosh you don't wanna know how much stringy and dry it was ww) but I surely have to pair them with Olaplex products ^^"" I also really need to dye it again, my roots are a mess T_T I hope I have extra money the next month to do it
Oh, and I've bought a new face roller *0* Actually I bought it past month but it should arrive within days now *A* I can't wait!! Georgie uses this for her face routine and also a lot of jmodels too! I really hope it works :O
I hope this post was useful! Soon I should get my mercari order with my winter gets (so probably my next post'll be about it), I can't wait to show you everything waaaa ** should I make just a blogpost like last year? Or a vlog too?? ** I really want to do one but it's so hard to find time T_T especially now, on Monday I finally signed my final job contract, now I'm a full time legal assistant, which is great but it also means a lot of extra work x_x aaaaa
And my new year resolution was to blog more wwww why it always end like this? XDD
Anyway, see you soon and take care
Yours, Natsumin~
