It's GILFY b*tch

Hello again ahahah omg I'm posting so much XD I don't know why after 4 years of no blogging at all now I feel so inspired ahahahah

I have some planned posts and this is one I wanted to do so much: a GILFY inspo post!

What is GILFY?

If still there is somebody who doesn't know it XD GILFY or Maison Gilfy is a japanese gyaru brand which was productive between 2003-2015; its style was very rock-ish and grunge so it was really popular in 2008-2009 and then in 2013, when rokku gyaru was the trend 

 

Big staple items in its fashion were pompom hats, motor/Jack Daniels-style print t-shirts and black bombers

 

Patterns were preferably plaid, starts, dots, checkered print, stripes, animal prints, union jack and american flags, sometimes you could also see crosses or skulls (but more as patches or accessories)

What I like the most is that it looks so fierce and "hardcore" but still so casual

 

 

One of my favourite references for Gilfy is Chie Yoshikawa (or Guri from Guri&Gura Ageha twin models)

I love how she combines Gilfy clothes with particular tights and comfy flat shoes, all in rock fashion

 

Look how many different hairstyles! 

 

 

It's not unusual to see Disney prints combined with Gilfy, for a bittersweet touch

 

 

Some more inspo from GILFY models, here you can see also the use of rock accessories like studs, crosses and chains, not lots of accessories, just a couple of right, outstanding acce, like a particular tie or a big special pendant (obviously rockstyle):

I tried to make two GILFY outfits, I like the first more but I still need improvement for both lol

10€ Budget Shopping! (Flea Market gets)

I wasn't supposed to post today but I really want to show you my gets from today XD

As I already wrote many times on Saturday my city holds a big open market near my house, so every Saturday morning I go to check it since there's also a "zone" in the market totally dedicated to thrifted clothes

There are various kind of stalls, some sells no brand clothes, some only big brand thrifted clothes, others have big pile of "undefined mixed brands" clothes, all thrown together, sold for 1/2€ the piece

Those piles are SO BIG and messy and chaotic XD that they never check what they're selling so if you're lucky enough you can find big brand clothes or other treasures (once I found totally random a HELLO KITTY KIGURUMI XDDDD I regret not buying it lol)

And one of my biggest hobbies is diving into those pile trying to find some treasures XD Usually I don't find many pieces but it's still funny

However this Saturday started quite sad cuz I had only 10€ with me and I thought I couldn't buy anything really good with such a small budget but STILL I got to buy so many things I'm crying XD

I obviously have to deep clean and sterilize everything but still worthy

Ok enough chatting I'll show you what I got

H&M Leopard dress - 1€

 

Cuteeee I'm actually looking for a dalmatian dress, but until I find it this is a good substitute! I'll wear it with my pom pom hat and a waist belt, maybe my black fur scarf～

 

Benetton Tee - 0,50€

 

Light blue, SO CHEAP, and high quality～ I love it!

Jennifer Cropped hoodie - 0,50€

 

I love the pink and it gives me the vibe of EMODA or other old onee brands

Fruscìo Hearts Jacket - 0,50€

It looks so 2008 to me I had to get it XD It's really light, for summer or spring, I absolutely want to coord it in Tralala style with a cap and a tutu skirt >w<

FIT-Z Striped tee - 0,50€

 

I love the blue in it I think it'll look sooo GILFY with smiley and star patches or badges, a black long vest and a black miniskirt

ONLY coat - 2€

I needed a light brown coat so much ;w; I have a pair of brown boots I never wear cuz they don't match any of my coats lol

Cavalli (??) Bag - 2€

 

OMG I LOVE ITTTT I don't care if it's real Cavalli or not, it looks so COOL and it will look so perfect with my Rady setups, DATURA clothing or even that Jennifer hoodie TuT AND THE INSIDE IS LEOPARD *heavy breathing*

For the grand finale I have a short story XDD

I was searching for badges and I saw this big transparent bag, through I could see some badges and a Hello Kitty wallet. I asked for the price or what was inside it and nobody knew it XD They didn't see that bag between all their stuff, didn't check what was inside it and didn't price the accessories inside it LMAO

So I went it like a boss and said "what if I buy it all? The whole bag? Whatever is inside it?"

The stallkeeper looked at me, looked at the bag (which clearly displayed the HK logo and the badges XD probably kids stuff for him), looked at me again XD and then: "How much do you offer?"

"4€" (cuz it was REALLY big) "ok it's yours" (such a quick answer XDDD I should have tried saying 2€ LMAO)

Back at home I opened the bag and actually half of it was really filled with kids useless stuff XDDD but still there were some cute pieces and this is what I decided to keep! (I'll give away the rest)

I absolutely LOVE the HK wallet XD I saw in an old EGG issue that, along with LV wallets, those kind of HK wallets were really popular between kogals! I'll use it until I find a proper LV wallet lol

And those Powerpuff Badgeeees so 2000 I want to cry ;; 

Just those 4 things are totally worthy of the price I paid lol

Ok I'll end this here and go make amend for buying so many clothes XDDD

Really man I should stop... BUT I NEED MORE GILFY CLOTHES is my obsession rn XDDD lol what's wrong with me
