Hello, it's been a while
I was supposed to post another blogpost today but I have something more important to take off my chest
Today the news said that one of my fav authors, Sophie Kinsella, passed away
She
wasn't just one of my favourites. I own a LOT of books from her. I read 3
exact books of her whenever I feel sad ("Finding Audrey", "Can you keep a
secret?" and the famous "The Secret Dreamworld of a Shopaholic") cuz
the way she can distract me from whatever weights me is just magical
One minute I'm sad, the minute after (reading her) I'm laughing again
And her characters felt real and similar to me (especially the MC from the books I mentioned above), so they felt more like sisters. They made me feel not alone
She was magical to me, my comfort zone
And now she's gone
I just can't stop crying
Thank you so much Sophie, I "owe you one" (did you get it?)
I'll never stop reading you. You'll live forever inside me
I wish your family the best, keep watching over them and us too
Love you, I'll be thankful forever
Authors can touch so many people with their words and the characters and worlds they create. May she rest in peace
RispondiEliminaI totally agree. For many people she's just the author of a "silly book about shopping", for me and other fans she was almost a friend, a safe place. I hope she's at peace now. Thank you for your comment
EliminaIt feels really weird when an artist, whose work became part of our world & accompany us in various periods of our lives, leaves.
RispondiEliminaI have cried for various artists so I completely get your sadness.
Remembering & being thankful we got to live in the same timeline as them.
Rest in peace, Sophie.
