Gallipolicon!

I'm back from Gallipolicon and one of the hardest weekend I ever had lmao
After coming home I don't know what I did wrong, but on Friday night I think I caught some cold (temperatures dropped here, we went from 35° to 25° in less than a week) and my back muscles froze x_x I couldn't move without screaming, my mom had to come to my place to help me put on medication cuz OF COURSE the blocked muscles were in a part of my back I can't reach 8D
Then on Sunday I got my period and GOD I'm suffering, I spent the day confused and dizzy from all the painkillers I took lol but at least in the evening I felt slightly better so I could attend the food fair in my city (but I'll talk about it in another post)
Anyyyyway, today I'm finally blogging about Gallipolicon and Mai Dire Goku event! It was so fun omg
If you read my previous post, I travelled 5 hours to reach Gallipoli and it wasn't easy for me XD But I was so happy when I finally reached Salento (it's the name of the part of my region that includes Gallipoli and Lecce, it's a touristic zone)!

Ofc in Lecce I had to get a pasticciotto XD it's a small pastry filled with cream :9 the pastry is similar to tart, cream is some kind of custard but it tastes... milkier? than normal custard w anyway if you come to Italy and visit Salento you need to try it!
After more 2 hours of train I FINALLY reached Gallipoli! And OMG this city is so beautiful!!

Somehow there was some anime-themed stalls... don't ask me w

The bus that should've taken me to my b&b wasn't arriving and it was already past 3PM and I WANTED SO MUCH to go to the beach so I grabbed my luggage and went to the b&b by foot...
WORST/BEST DECISION EVER XD Worst cuz there was still 35° (unlike my city w), it was hot as fuck, I COOKED under the sun and it took me 30 minutes to reach the b&b... I was totally done when I arrived XD but best decision since I arrived early enough to still go to the beach!! (I did my math, it was 30 minutes by foot and only 15 with bus... but then I noticed on Google Maps that once the bus dropped me I should've walked 10 more minutes to reach the b&b... so I would've saved only 5 minutes ^^"" and since the bus wasn't arriving... I decided to walk XD)

Since nothing, not even tiredness can stop me I dropped my stuff in my room, grabbed my towel and headed fast to the beach w

SO FUCKING BEAUTIFUL. I love this place. I love here. I WANNA LIVE HERE!!! I don't care there are no fancy shops, or asian markets/restaurants, I live for the seaside

Those 2 pics (upper and lower) are 2 different clubs on the seaside! I wish I could check them out but I only could take a peak :( cuz after some hours at the beach I headed back to pick up Simo and go back to the b&b together!

Meeting Simo again ;_; I almost cried hugging him, even if we just saw each other 2 months ago when usually we see each other every 5 months or more!! He's my soul brother, we have the same name and he's my best friend along with Narya, and I miss her a lot too so I was really emotional XD 
He did check in while I took a shower and got ready for the main event: Mai Dire Goku (at Gallipolicon XD)

I was supposed to wear my SheIn hibi top but I think I've lost weight cuz when I put it on... my bra was showing 8D it didn't stay on 8D I need to get it shrink by a seamstress... meanwhile, thank goodness I'm anxious and I always pack some plan B outfits XDDDD

I loved the lights, like the patronal festivals!

There was a food court that sold cigarettes, japanese food, sandwiches and ofc alcohol XD while in line with Simo to order (you pay your food at a specific single stall, they give you a ticket with your order and then you get your food/alcohol/whatever at the other stalls... I don't know why you can't directly pay stuff at the stalls XD) some girls in front of us turned around, looked at me, loudly gasped and then shouted "A GYARU!!! SO PRETTY!!" I giggled like a child XD 
I love cosplay but being recognized as a gal is WAY more fun. At least here XD teenagers love gyarus here and they are so cute with me ;_; it's always tiny screams (literally "Kyaaah!" XD like when you see a cute dog/cat lol) and tons of "OMG are you a gyaru?! I love gyarus! Gyarus are so pretty! So strong! Can we take a pic? Can you tell me how to do gal makeup? Where did you buy your clothes?" etc etc XD I always reply with everything I know, I would LOVE to do a jfashion meetup with gyaru classes but I'm so scared of being mistaken for a paedo... ;_; since I'm so old
But I need to find my gyaru heir ffs XDDDD

Anyway. I'm digressing XD 

We got alcohol and food ofc XD onigiri and baozi
A bit disappointing but I didn't want to dance and drink on an empty stomach 

I left my phone unlocked and Simo pressed randomly on the screen so...yeah XD

We finished eating right before the main event started: MAI DIRE GOKU!!!

So, what's Mai Dire Goku? XD
First of all, "Mai Dire Goku" (translate: Never say Goku) is a word play with the title of a fun, trash tv show from '90 (Mai Dire Martedì/Mai Dire Banzai, translate Never Say Tuesday/Banzai XD) that was a big part of italian '90 kids childhood XD they mixed the title with Goku (since this event is anime themed) and created this show which is a "container" for a dj set and a live music show (like the tv show was a container for different skits, shows etc), all dedicated to anime and '90/'00 tv shows and commercials
They travel all around Italy and make those shows where people dance and sings on anime OST, openings and even commercial jingles w

There was smoke, fire, lights, even balloons we could kick and punch XD they even did Pokemon cards unpacking live... God, the screams when they pulled good cards w
We could do karaoke thanks to the lyrics on screen!

The event ended at 3AM, when the Dj was so drunk he jumped onto the consolle and broke something XDDDD I don't wanna know when it would've ended if he didn't break the consolle w

Me and Simo were tired and hungry, so we bought some last food and went back to the b&b

Then, finally, AT 4 AM we went to sleep XD
Bad decision cuz we had to wake up at 8AM XD Simo almost had to drag me out of the bed lol
We packed, had breakfast with the amazing lady owner of the b&b (she was super nice and funny, I already miss her) then check out and left!
Our friend Vale reached us (she lives in a town near Gallipoli) and we had another coffee together <3 too bad I forgot to ask for a selfie together ;_; but I was so tired I couldn't even put together a coherent thought w

Sadly after an hour I had to say goodbye and go catch the train ;_;
Yes, you guessed it: other 5 hours of train 8D
At least I managed to buy a rustico leccese and I had lunch on the train while watching Squid Game, yay XD

Rustico leccese is a pastry filled with besciamella, mozzarella and a tiiiiiny spoon of tomato sauce in the middle
I love it, try it if you ever come to Lecce!!

 

After 5 hours I arrived home, left my stuff, had a shower and went to work lol
By evening I was DEAD w

But totally worth it, I would do it again 2371648 times
I hope I can attend another Mai Dire Goku!

 

 

 

Now, for the saddest part
THE CONSEQUENCES 8D 

When I was leaving I was in a rush, I grabbed my luggage without looking at it... and my GODDAMN FOXTAIL got stuck and RIPPED 8D 
RIGHT AFTER I'VE LOST MY OTHER BIGGER ONE 8D

 

Then, while dancing, I've punched a balloon falling on Simo while he was doing a video... somehow one of my nails flew in the process and when I finally found it, someone clearly had jumped on it cuz I've found it broken like this  

 I'll try to fix it with UV glue but it won't be as strong as before so... yeah, I need to buy/make another set
So mendokusai ugh

 And I also blocked my back XD
But I don't regret a thing w

Anyway, I've blabbed enough XD I have a lot more to post so I'll try to update soon!
